¹² Kiss the Son lest he be angry and you perish on the way, for his anger burns quickly. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

⁷ How precious is your loyal love, O God, and the children of humankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

¹⁰ Prolong your loyal love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart.

Why do you boast about evil, O mighty man? The loyal love of God endures _⌊continually_⌋.*

⁵ My soul will be satisfied as with the best and richest food, and with joyful lips my mouth will praise.

¹² O Yahweh of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts you.

¹⁰³ How smooth* are your words* to my palate, more than honey in my mouth.

³ As an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. In his shade _⌊I sat down with delight_⌋,* and his fruit was sweet to my palate.

¹ I have come to my garden, my sister bride, I have gathered my myrrh with my spice, I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey, I have drunk my wine with my milk! Eat, O friends! _⌊Drink and become drunk with love_⌋!*

¹⁴ And I will saturate the appetite of the priests with fatness, and my people will be satisfied with my goodness," _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh.

¹⁷ For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Grain will make the young men thrive, and new wine the young women.

⁴ For it is impossible concerning those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and become sharers of the Holy Spirit, ⁵ and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the coming age,

² like newborn infants long for the unadulterated spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up to salvation, ³ if you have tasted that the Lord is kind,*

¹ What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and our hands have touched, concerning the word of life— ² and the life was revealed, and we have seen and testify and announce to you the eternal life which was with the Father and was revealed to us— ³ what we have seen and heard, we announce to you also, in order that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

⁷ Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God. ⁸ The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love. ⁹ By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God sent his one and only Son into the world in order that we may live through him. ¹⁰ In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation* for our sins.
