⁷ Our soul has escaped like a bird from the snare of fowlers. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.

²⁶ Saul went _⌊on one side of the mountain_⌋,* and David and his men _⌊went on the other side of the mountain_⌋.* David was hurrying to get away from Saul, while Saul and his men were closing in on David and his men to capture them. ²⁷ But a messenger came to Saul, saying, "Hurry and come, because the Philistines have made a raid on the land!"

¹⁴ After whom did the king of Israel go out? After whom are you pursuing? After a dead dog? After one flea? ¹⁵ May Yahweh be the judge, and let him judge between me and you, and may he see and plead my case. _⌊May he vindicate me against you_⌋!"*

²⁹ Should a man arise to pursue you and to seek your life, may the life of my lord be wrapped in the pouch* of the living with Yahweh your God. But as for the life of your enemy, he will sling it from within* the pocket of the sling!

² I will come upon him while he is weary and _⌊weak_⌋.* I will startle him, and all of the people who are with him will flee. Then I will strike down the king while he is alone.

²¹ After they left, they came up from the well and went and told King David. They said to David, "Set out and cross over the water quickly, for thus Ahithophel has advised against you." ²² So David and all the people who were with him set out, and they crossed over the Jordan until morning light until _⌊there was no one_⌋* missing who had not crossed over the Jordan.

¹⁵ My eyes are continually toward Yahweh, because he will take my feet from the net.

³ For he will deliver* you from the snare of the fowler, from the plague of destruction.

⁵ Save yourself like a gazelle from a hand, or like a bird from the hand of a fowler.

²⁶ For wicked people are found among my people, they lie in wait like the hiding of fowlers, they set up a trap, they catch humans.

²² Let a cry for help be heard from their houses when you suddenly bring upon them the raiding band, for they have dug a pit to catch me, and they have fixed secretly a trap for my feet.

²⁶ and they will come to their senses again and escape from the trap of the devil, being held captive by him to do his will.
