²⁸ On the road of righteousness is life, and on the way of the path, may there be no death.

The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him; the wickedness of the wicked* shall be on him. ²¹ But if the wicked returns from all of his sins* that he has done and he keeps all of my statutes and he does justice and righteousness, he shall surely live; he shall not die! ²² All of his transgressions that he committed will not be remembered against* him. Through* his righteousness that he has done he shall live. ²³ Have I delight by any means* in the death of the wicked, _⌊declares_⌋* the Lord Yahweh, and not at his turning from his way, _⌊so that_⌋* he lives? ²⁴ And _⌊when the righteous turns_⌋* from his righteousness, so that* he does injustice, and does all of the detestable things that the wicked do, then* will he live because of all of his righteousness* that he did? Those things will not be remembered because of his infidelity that he displayed, and because of his _⌊sin that he committed_⌋.* Through* them he shall die.

²¹ so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²² But now, having been set free from sin and having been enslaved to God, you have your fruit leading to sanctification, and its end is eternal life. ²³ For the compensation due sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, ¹² training us in order that, denying impiety and worldly desires, we may live self-controlled and righteously and godly in the present age,

²⁹ If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone* who practices righteousness has been fathered by him.

⁷ Little children, let no one deceive you: the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as that one is righteous.

¹¹ Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.
