¹⁹ He who is steadfast in righteousness is to life as* he who pursues evil is to death.

¹⁶ for their feet run to evil, and they hurry to shed blood, ¹⁷ for "in vain* is the net scattered, in the sight of any _⌊winged bird_⌋."* ¹⁸ They lie in wait for their own blood. ⁷ Little children, let no one deceive you: the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as that one is righteous.

¹⁰ By this the children of God and the children of the devil are evident: everyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, namely, the one who does not love his brother.
