⁶¹ And the Lord turned around and* looked intently at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord,* how he said to him, "Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times."

²⁷ "He will sing to men, and he will say, 'I have sinned and have perverted what is right, and it was not paid back to me.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty one who resides forever, and whose name is holy:

Bring me back and let me return, for you are Yahweh my God. ¹⁹ For after my turning back I repented, and after coming to understand I struck my thigh. I was ashamed and also humiliated, because I bore the disgrace of my youth.' ²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son, or the child of my delight? For _⌊as often as_⌋* I have earnestly spoken against him, I still remember him. _⌊Therefore_⌋* my bowels are turbulent for him, surely I will have compassion on him," _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh.

⁶³ in order that you will remember, and you will be ashamed, and _⌊you will not open your mouth again_⌋* _⌊because of_⌋* your disgrace when I forgive you for all that you have done!'" _⌊declares_⌋* the Lord Yahweh.

³¹ And you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe _⌊yourself_⌋* over* your iniquities and over your detestable things. ³² But not for your sake am I acting," _⌊declares_⌋* the Lord Yahweh. "Let it be known to you, be ashamed, and be put to shame because of your ways, house of Israel.

⁸ How can I give you up, O Ephraim? How can I hand you over, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is disturbed* within me; _⌊all_⌋* my compassions are aroused.

³⁴ Jesus said to him, "Truly I say to you that during this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times!"

⁷⁵ And Peter remembered the statement Jesus had said, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times," and he went outside and* wept bitterly.

³⁰ And immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone out from himself, turned around in the crowd and* said, "Who touched my clothing?"

¹³ And when* the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, "Do not weep!"

⁴¹ But the Lord answered and* said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things!

³⁴ And he said, "I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me!"

³⁸ Jesus replied, "Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly I say to you, the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times!

³¹ This one God has exalted to his right hand as Leader and Savior to grant repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

¹¹ Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, the so-called uncircumcision by the so-called circumcision in the flesh, made by hands,

⁵ Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do _⌊the works you did at first_⌋*. But if you do not, I am coming to you, and I will remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
