¹² "Look, in this you are not right—I will answer you: Indeed, God is greater than a human being.

²² In all this, Job did not sin and did not _⌊charge God with wrongdoing_⌋.*

⁴ He is wise in* heart and mighty in* strength; who has resisted him and succeeded?*

¹⁴ Look, these are the outer fringes of his ways, and _⌊how faint is the word_⌋* that we hear of him! But* who can understand the thunder of his power?"

¹⁷ I myself will answer my share also; I myself will declare my knowledge also,

¹⁰ "Therefore, listen to me, _⌊people who have sense_⌋:* far be it from God _⌊that he should commit wickedness_⌋* and that Shaddai _⌊should do wrong_⌋.* ¹¹ Indeed, he will repay according to a human being's deeds, and according to a man's way he will let it happen to him. ¹² What's more, God truly does not act wickedly, and Shaddai does not pervert justice.

¹⁷ Shall he who hates justice really govern? Or will you* declare the Righteous One, the Mighty, guilty?— ¹⁸ the one who says to a king, 'You worthless man,' to noblemen, 'You wicked man,' ¹⁹ who _⌊shows no partiality to officials_⌋* and who _⌊does not take note of the noble more than of the insignificant_⌋,* for all of them are the work of his hands?

²³ Indeed, he has not yet appointed a time for man to go to God in the judgment.

² "Do you think this is justice when you say, '_⌊I am right_⌋* before God'?

⁴ I myself* _⌊will give answer to you_⌋* and to your friends with you.

⁵ Look, God is mighty but* does not despise anyone; he is mighty and _⌊good in understanding_⌋.*

²² "Look, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher like him? ²³ Who has prescribed his way for him? Or* who says, 'You have done wrong'?

² "Shall a faultfinder contend with Shaddai? Anyone who argues with God must answer it."

⁸ "Indeed, would you annul my justice? Would you condemn me, so that you might be righteous? ⁹ Or do you have an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?

²⁰ Surely there is no one righteous on the earth who continually does good and never sins.

⁶ "Like this potter, am I not able to do to you, O house of Israel?" _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh. "Look, like the clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

²⁵ "Yet* you say, 'The way of the Lord is not fair!' Listen, now, house of Israel, is my way not fair? Is it not your ways that are not fair?

¹⁹ Therefore you will say to me, "Why then does he still find fault? For who has resisted* his will? ²⁰ On the contrary, O man, who are you who answers back to God? Will what is molded say to the one who molded it, "Why did you make me like this"?* ²¹ Or does the potter not have authority over the clay, to make from the same lump a vessel that is for _⌊honorable use_⌋* and one that is for _⌊ordinary use_⌋*?
