You have heard about the patient endurance of Job, and you saw the outcome from the Lord, that the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

⁹ obtaining the goal of your faith, the salvation of your* souls.

¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and its desire,* but the one who does the will of God remains _⌊forever_⌋*.
