¹⁴ And then if you do not take delight in her, then you shall let her go _⌊to do whatever she wants_⌋,* but you shall not treat her as a slave, since you have dishonored* her.

² And Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her. And he took her and lay with her and raped her.

⁷ " 'And if a man sells his daughter as a slave woman, she will not go out as male slaves go out. ⁸ If _⌊she does not please her master_⌋* who selected her, he will allow her to be redeemed; he has no authority to sell her to foreign people, since he has dealt treacherously with her. ⁹ And if he selects her for his son, he shall do for her according to the regulations for daughters. ¹⁰ If he takes for himself another, he will not reduce her food, her clothing, or her right of cohabitation. ¹¹ And if he does not do for her these three, she shall go out for nothing; there will not be silver* paid for her.

¹⁹ Then they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver, and they shall give them to the father of the young woman, for _⌊he defamed an Israelite young woman_⌋,* and _⌊she shall become his wife_⌋;* he will not be allowed _⌊to divorce her_⌋* all his days.

²⁴ then you shall bring out _⌊both of them_⌋* to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them with stones so that they shall die, the young woman because she did not cry out in the town, and the man because* he violated his neighbor's wife; and so you shall purge the evil from your midst.

²⁹ then _⌊the man who lay with her_⌋* shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall become _⌊his wife_⌋* _⌊because_⌋* he violated her, and he is not allowed to divorce her _⌊during his lifetime_⌋.*

²⁴ Here is my virgin daughter and his concubine. Please, let me bring them out; do violence to them,* and do to them _⌊whatever you please_⌋.* Do not do this disgraceful thing to this man."
