⁹ What has been—it is what will be; what has been done—it is what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun.

¹¹ Because sentence against an evil deed is not carried out quickly, the heart of _⌊humans_⌋* fills up within them to do evil.

¹² "They have denied Yahweh, and have said, 'Not he, _⌊for_⌋* evil will not come on us, we will see neither sword nor famine. ¹³ And the prophets are like wind, and the word is not in them.' Thus it will be done to them."

¹⁵ Look, they are saying to me, "Where is the word of Yahweh? Please let it come."

³ who are saying, "The building of houses is not near; the city is the pot, and we are the flesh.

²² "Son of man,* what is this proverb _⌊you people have_⌋* about the land of Israel, _⌊saying_⌋,* '_⌊The days are prolonged_⌋,* and every vision has come to nothing.' ²³ Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the Lord Yahweh: "I will put an end to this proverb, and they will not quote it as a proverb again in Israel." ' But* say to them, 'The days are near, and also the word of every vision.' ²⁴ For there will not be any longer _⌊any false vision_⌋* or flattering divination in the midst of the house of Israel. ²⁵ For I, Yahweh, I will speak what I will speak as a word, and it will be done. It will not prolong itself any longer, for in your days, house of rebellion, I will speak a word and I will fulfill it!" _⌊declares_⌋* the Lord Yahweh. ²⁶ And the word of Yahweh _⌊came_⌋* to me, _⌊saying_⌋,* ²⁷ "Son of man,* look! The house of Israel is saying, 'The vision that he is seeing is for many days from now, and for distant times he is prophesying.'

¹⁷ You have wearied Yahweh with your words, but you ask, "With what have we wearied him?" You have done so _⌊when you say_⌋,* "Everyone who does evil is good in the _⌊sight_⌋* of Yahweh, and in them he delights," or "Where is the God of justice?"

²⁸ Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

⁴⁸ But if that evil slave should say _⌊to himself_⌋,* 'My master is staying away for a long time,'

⁶ But from the beginning of creation 'he made them male and female.*

¹⁹ For in those days there will be tribulation of such a kind as has not happened from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will happen.

⁴⁵ But if that slave should say _⌊to himself_⌋,* 'My master is taking a long time to return,' and he begins to beat the male slaves and the female slaves and to eat and drink and get drunk,

¹⁹ For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming?
