⁷⁰ But he denied before them all, saying, I do not know what you say.

³⁴ Jesus said unto him, Truthfully I say unto you, That this night, before the cock crow, you shall deny me three times. ³⁵ Peter said unto him, Though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you. Likewise also said all the disciples.

⁴⁰ And he comes unto the disciples, and finds them asleep, and says unto Peter, What, could you not watch with me one hour? ⁴¹ Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. ⁴² He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, unless I drink it, your will be done. ⁴³ And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

⁵¹ And, behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

⁵⁶ But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

⁵⁸ But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

²⁰ Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not high minded, but fear:

¹² Therefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

⁸ But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
