¹³ For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

¹⁷ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. ¹⁸ For truthfully I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one small mark shall in no way pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

²⁷ And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

⁴⁴ And he said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

⁴⁶ For had you believed Moses, you would have believed me; for he wrote of me. ⁴⁷ But if you believe not his writings, how shall you believe my words?

²² For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brothers, like unto me; him shall you hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. ²³ And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. ²⁴ Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

²⁷ For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

²¹ But now the righteousness of God outside the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
