²⁹ And he said unto them, Truthfully I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

³⁷ He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. ³⁸ And he that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy of me. ³⁹ He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it.

²⁸ And Jesus said unto them, Truthfully I say unto you, That you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ²⁹ And every one that has forsaken houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. ³⁰ But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
