³ For I rejoiced greatly, when the brothers came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth.

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

⁶ Nevertheless God, that comforts those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; ⁷ And not by his coming only, but by the consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

¹⁵ Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, ¹⁶ Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

⁴ Always in every prayer of my for you all making request with joy,

⁷ As you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; ⁸ Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

¹⁹ For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? ²⁰ For you are our glory and joy.

⁶ But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you: ⁷ Therefore, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: ⁸ For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy with which we joy for your sakes before our God;

² For the truth's sake, which dwells in us, and shall be with us forever.

⁴ I rejoiced greatly that I found of your children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

⁴ I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
