³ Giving no offense in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

²⁷ Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go you to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first comes up; and when you have opened his mouth, you shall find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and you.

⁶ But whoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

¹³ Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

⁹ But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumbling block to them that are weak. ¹⁰ For if any man see you who have knowledge sit at food in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; ¹¹ And through your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? ¹² But when you sin so against the brothers, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. ¹³ Therefore, if food make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world stands, lest I make my brother to offend.

¹² If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but tolerate all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

²² To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

²³ All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. ²⁴ Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.

³² Give none offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: ³³ Just as I please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

¹² For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conduct in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

²⁰ Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:
