³ Since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

²⁰ For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaks in you.

¹⁸ Truthfully I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. ¹⁹ Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven. ²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to contradict nor resist.

⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁵ To deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

¹ Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not you my work in the Lord? ² If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are you in the Lord. ³ Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,

⁶ Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.

¹⁰ To whom you forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

¹ Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you? ² You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: ³ Since as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

⁴ (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

⁸ For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord has given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: ⁹ That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. ¹⁰ For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

¹² Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
