⁷ Even as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; since as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of my grace.

²³ And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely: ²⁴ Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. ²⁵ And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

²³ Except that the Holy Spirit witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.

³³ Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.

²³ And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

⁷ Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

³ I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that you are in our hearts to die and live with you.

⁶ For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.

¹ For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

¹ I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called,

²⁰ For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that in this I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

⁵ For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

¹⁶ The one preach Christ out of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: ¹⁷ But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel.

¹⁴ Nevertheless you have done well, that you did share in my affliction.

³ Praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

¹⁸ The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.

² We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; ³ Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; ⁴ Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. ⁵ For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

⁵ You are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

⁸ Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

⁹ In which I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

¹ Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

⁹ But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. ¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

³³ Partly, while you were made a public display both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, while you became companions of them that were so used. ³⁴ For you had compassion on me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a better and an enduring possession.

¹³ But rejoice, since you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.

¹ The elders who are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

¹³ Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.
