This was the dedication of the altar, after it was anointed. ⁸⁹ And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of meeting to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubim: and he spoke unto him.

³ And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

² Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

²³ Take also unto you the finest spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet-smelling cinnamon half as much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet-smelling cane two hundred and fifty shekels, ²⁴ And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of olive oil a hin: ²⁵ And you shall make it an oil of holy anointing, an ointment compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil. ²⁶ And you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting with it, and the ark of the testimony, ²⁷ And the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense, ²⁸ And the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base. ²⁹ And you shall sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever touches them shall be holy. ³⁰ And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.

⁹ And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shall hallow it, and all its utensils: and it shall be holy. ¹⁰ And you shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all its utensils, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.

¹⁷ And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up. ¹⁸ And Moses raised up the tabernacle, and fastened its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars. ¹⁹ And he spread out the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent over it; as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹⁰ And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them. ¹¹ And he sprinkled it upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its vessels, both the laver and its base, to sanctify them.

¹ And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel; ² And he said unto Aaron, Take you a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD. ³ And unto the children of Israel you shall speak, saying, Take you a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering; ⁴ Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a grain offering mixed with oil: for today the LORD will appear unto you. ⁵ And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of meeting: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD. ⁶ And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that you should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you. ⁷ And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make an atonement for yourself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded. ⁸ Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. ⁹ And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar: ¹⁰ But the fat, and the kidneys, and the fat above the liver of the sin offering, he burned upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses. ¹¹ And the flesh and the hide he burned with fire outside the camp. ¹² And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar. ¹³ And they presented the burned offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burned them upon the altar. ¹⁴ And he did wash the entrails and the legs, and burned them upon the burnt offering on the altar. ¹⁵ And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first. ¹⁶ And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance. ¹⁷ And he brought the grain offering, and took a handful thereof, and burned it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning. ¹⁸ He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about, ¹⁹ And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the fat tail, and that which covers the entrails, and the kidneys, and the fat above the liver: ²⁰ And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burned the fat upon the altar: ²¹ And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded. ²² And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings. ²³ And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people. ²⁴ And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

⁸⁴ This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the leaders of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold:

⁸⁸ And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the male goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after it was anointed.

⁶⁴ The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brass altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

²⁷ And the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ² Make you two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shall you make them: that you may use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. ³ And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to you at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. ⁴ And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the leaders, who are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto you. ⁵ When you blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east side shall go forward. ⁶ When you blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys. ⁷ But when the congregation is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm. ⁸ And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance forever throughout your generations. ⁹ And if you go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresses you, then you shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and you shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies. ¹⁰ Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God. ¹¹ And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony. ¹² And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran. ¹³ And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses. ¹⁴ In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over its host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. ¹⁵ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar. ¹⁶ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon. ¹⁷ And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari moved forward, bearing the tabernacle. ¹⁸ And the standard of the camp of Reuben moved forward according to their armies: and over its host was Elizur the son of Shedeur. ¹⁹ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. ²⁰ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel. ²¹ And the Kohathites moved forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the others did set up the tabernacle before they came. ²² And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim moved forward according to their armies: and over its host was Elishama the son of Ammihud. ²³ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. ²⁴ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni. ²⁵ And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan moved forward, who were the rear guard of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over its host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. ²⁶ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran. ²⁷ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan. ²⁸ Thus were the journeying of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they moved forward. ²⁹ And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it to you: come with us, and we will do you good: for the LORD has spoken good concerning Israel. ³⁰ And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my kindred. ³¹ And he said, Leave us not, I pray you; forasmuch as you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes. ³² And it shall be, if you go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto you. ³³ And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them. ³⁴ And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp. ³⁵ And it came to pass, when the ark moved forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let your enemies be scattered; and let them that hate you flee before you. ³⁶ And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.

⁶ Then the heads of the fathers’ houses and the leaders of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the officers over the king’s work, offered willingly, ⁷ And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron. ⁸ And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasury of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

⁸ And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.

⁶⁸ And some of the heads of the fathers’ houses, when they came to the house of the LORD which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in its place: ⁶⁹ They gave according to their ability to the treasury of the work threescore and one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests’ garments.

⁷⁰ And some of the heads of the fathers’ houses gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury a thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests’ garments. ⁷¹ And some of the heads of the fathers’ houses gave to the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand and two hundred minas of silver. ⁷² And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand minas of silver, and threescore and seven priests’ garments.

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ² Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that gives it willingly with his heart you shall take my offering. ³ And this is the offering which you shall take of them; gold, and silver, and bronze, ⁴ And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, ⁵ And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and acacia wood, ⁶ Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense, ⁷ Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate. ⁸ And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. ⁹ According to all that I show you, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the furnishings of it, even so shall you make it. ¹⁰ And they shall make an ark of acacia wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it. ¹¹ And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and shall make upon it a molding of gold round about.

⁴ And Moses spoke unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying, ⁵ Take from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and bronze, ⁶ And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, ⁷ And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and acacia wood, ⁸ And oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense, ⁹ And onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod, and for the breastplate. ¹⁰ And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD has commanded;

² O my soul, you have said unto the LORD, You are my Lord: my goodness reaches not to you; ³ But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the noble, in whom is all my delight.

¹ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth justice to the Gentiles. ² He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. ³ A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth justice unto truth. ⁴ He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he has established justice in the earth: and the coastlands shall wait for his law. ⁵ Thus says God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; he that gives breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk in it: ⁶ I the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant to the people, for a light to the Gentiles; ⁷ To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

¹ Listen, O coastlands, unto me; and hearken, you people, from afar; The LORD has called me from the womb; from the body of my mother has he made mention of my name. ² And he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he hid me; ³ And said unto me, You are my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. ⁴ Then I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing, and in vain: yet surely my due justice is with the LORD, and my recompense with my God. ⁵ And now, says the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. ⁶ And he said, It is too small a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation unto the ends of the earth. ⁷ Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he has chosen you. ⁸ Thus says the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you: and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant to the people, to establish the earth, to cause them to inherit the desolate heritages;

¹¹ And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; ¹² For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: ¹³ Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

⁸ This is a faithful saying, and these things I desire that you affirm constantly, that they who have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

²⁵ And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of meeting. ²⁶ And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.

²⁴ This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and to carry burdens: ²⁵ And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of meeting, its covering, and the covering of the badger skins that is on it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of meeting, ²⁶ And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve. ²⁷ At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and you shall appoint unto them the task of all their burdens. ²⁸ This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of meeting: and their work shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

³⁶ And under the appointed duty of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the utensils thereof, and all that pertains to them, ³⁷ And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.

²⁸ This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of meeting: and their work shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. ²⁹ As for the sons of Merari, you shall number them after their families, by the house of their fathers; ³⁰ From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shall you number them, every one that enters into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of meeting. ³¹ And this is the task of their burdens, according to all their service in the tabernacle of meeting; the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, ³² And the pillars round about the court, and their sockets, and their pegs, and their cords, with all their furnishings, and with all their service: and by name you shall reckon the objects of the charge of their burdens. ³³ This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

³¹ And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the lampstand, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the hanging, and all the service thereof.

⁴ This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of meeting, about the most holy things: ⁵ And when the camp moves forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering veil, and cover the ark of testimony with it: ⁶ And shall put thereon the covering of badger skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in its poles. ⁷ And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover them: and the showbread shall be on it: ⁸ And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badger skins, and shall put in its poles. ⁹ And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the lampstand of the light, and its lamps, and its wick trimmers, and its trays, and all the oil vessels thereof, with which they minister unto it: ¹⁰ And they shall put it and all the utensils thereof within a covering of badger skins, and shall put it upon a carrying beam. ¹¹ And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badger skins, and shall put in its poles: ¹² And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badger skins, and shall put them on a carrying beam: ¹³ And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it: ¹⁴ And they shall put upon it all its utensils, with which they minister about it, even the fire pans, the forks, and the shovels, and the basins, all the utensils of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badger skins, and put in its poles. ¹⁵ And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, as the camp is to move forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of meeting. ¹⁶ And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertains the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily grain offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that is therein, in the sanctuary, and in the utensils thereof.

⁶ And when they came to Nacon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

¹³ And it was so, that when they that bore the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

³ And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto its place, which he had prepared for it.

¹³ For because you did it not at the first, the LORD our God broke forth upon us, for we sought him not about the proper order.

²⁶ And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof.

¹ And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the furnishings thereof, both the altar and all its vessels, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;

⁵ And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that has built a new house, and has not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.

⁶³ And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.

⁵ And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

⁹ And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they observed the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

¹⁶ And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy, ¹⁷ And offered at the dedication of this house of God a hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

²⁷ And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, lyres, and harps.

⁴³ Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

¹ [A Psalm of David. A song at the dedication of the house of David.] I will extol you, O LORD; for you have lifted me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.

³³ For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

⁴⁰ Let all things be done decently and in order.

⁵ For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

⁸ Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise: your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father's children shall bow down before you.

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

³ And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah encamp according to their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.

¹⁴ In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over its host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

²⁰ And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,

⁴ And Ram begat Amminidab; and Amminidab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon;

³² Who was the son of Jesse, who was the son of Obed, who was the son of Boaz, who was the son of Salmon, who was the son of Nahshon,

²⁹ And you shall make its dishes, and its spoons, and its covers, and its bowls for pouring: of pure gold shall you make them.

¹³ This they shall give, every one that passes among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) a half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD.

¹⁶ And he made the utensils which were upon the table, its dishes, and its spoons, and its bowls, and its covers for pouring, of pure gold.

¹ And when any will offer a grain offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon:

³ Then your valuation shall be for the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

²⁵ And all your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

⁴⁷ You shall even take five shekels apiece individually, after the shekel of the sanctuary shall you take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:)

⁴³ And the ten stands, and ten lavers on the stands;

⁴⁵ And the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: and all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon for the house of the LORD, were of bright bronze.

¹⁴ And the pots, and the shovels, and the wick trimmers, and the ladles, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered, they took away. ¹⁵ And the firepans, and the basins, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.

⁹ And this is the number of them: thirty platters of gold, a thousand platters of silver, nine and twenty knives, ¹⁰ Thirty bowls of gold, silver bowls of a similar sort four hundred and ten, and other articles a thousand.

²⁵ And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the articles, even the offering for the house of our God, which the king, and his counselors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered:

¹⁹ And the basins, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the pots, and the lamps, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold, in gold, and that which was of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.

² Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his lords, his wives, and his concubines, might drink from them.

²⁰ In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

⁸ And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John the Baptist's head on a platter.

¹¹ And his head was brought on a platter, and given to the girl: and she brought it to her mother.

⁷ And Aaron shall burn on it sweet incense every morning: when he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it. ⁸ And when Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.

³⁴ And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto you sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be the same amount: ³⁵ And you shall make it an incense, a compound after the art of the perfumer, mixed together, pure and holy: ³⁶ And you shall beat some of it very fine, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of meeting, where I will meet with you: it shall be unto you most holy. ³⁷ And as for the incense which you shall make, you shall not make it for yourselves according to the composition of it: it shall be unto you holy for the LORD. ³⁸ Whosoever shall make any like that, to smell it, shall even be cut off from his people.

⁸ And oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense,

⁷ And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover them: and the showbread shall be on it:

⁵⁰ And the bowls, and the wick trimmers, and the basins, and the ladles, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner room, the most holy place, and for the doors of the main hall of the temple.

²² And the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entrance of the house, the inner doors for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

¹⁴ And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, of which were made articles for the house of the LORD, even articles for ministering, and for offering, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada.

¹ And the LORD called unto Moses, and spoke unto him out of the tabernacle of meeting, saying, ² Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you brings an offering unto the LORD, you shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock. ³ If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD. ⁴ And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. ⁵ And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of meeting. ⁶ And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into its pieces. ⁷ And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire: ⁸ And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar: ⁹ But its entrails and its legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD. ¹⁰ And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring a male without blemish. ¹¹ And he shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall sprinkle its blood round about upon the altar. ¹² And he shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar: ¹³ But he shall wash the entrails and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD. ¹⁴ And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the LORD be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons. ¹⁵ And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at the side of the altar: ¹⁶ And he shall pluck away its crop with its feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east side, by the place of the ashes: ¹⁷ And he shall split it with the wings, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD.

¹ And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit harlotry with the daughters of Moab. ² And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. ³ And Israel joined itself unto Baal of Peor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. ⁴ And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD in the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel. ⁵ And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay you every one his men that were joined unto Baal of Peor. ⁶ And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of meeting. ⁷ And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; ⁸ And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. ⁹ And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand. ¹⁰ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ¹¹ Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, because he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. ¹² Therefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: ¹³ And he shall have it, and his descendants after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel. ¹⁴ Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianite woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a head of a fathers’ house among the Simeonites. ¹⁵ And the name of the Midianite woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and a father’s house in Midian. ¹⁶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ¹⁷ Harass the Midianites, and smite them: ¹⁸ For they harassed you with their wiles, with which they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a leader of Midian, their sister, who was slain in the day of the plague on account of Peor.

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ² Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet aroma unto me, shall you observe to offer unto me in their due season. ³ And you shall say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering. ⁴ The one lamb shall you offer in the morning, and the other lamb shall you offer at evening; ⁵ And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten olive oil. ⁶ It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet aroma, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. ⁷ And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shall you cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering. ⁸ And the other lamb shall you offer at evening: as the grain offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, you shall offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD. ⁹ And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two-tenths of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, and the drink offering thereof: ¹⁰ This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering. ¹¹ And in the beginnings of your months you shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot; ¹² And three-tenths of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, for one bullock; and two-tenths of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, for one ram; ¹³ And a tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with oil for a grain offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet aroma, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. ¹⁴ And their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine unto a bullock, and the third part of a hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of a hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year. ¹⁵ And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering. ¹⁶ And on the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD. ¹⁷ And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. ¹⁸ On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of regular work on it: ¹⁹ But you shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without blemish: ²⁰ And their grain offerings shall be of flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah shall you offer for a bullock, and two-tenths of an ephah for a ram; ²¹ A tenth of an ephah shall you offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: ²² And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. ²³ You shall offer these besides the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. ²⁴ In this manner you shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the grain of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD: it shall be offered besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering. ²⁵ And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work. ²⁶ Also on the day of the first fruits, when you bring a new grain offering unto the LORD, at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work: ²⁷ But you shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet aroma unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; ²⁸ And their grain offerings of flour mixed with oil, three-tenths of an ephah unto one bullock, two-tenths of an ephah unto one ram, ²⁹ A tenth of an ephah unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs;

⁴ Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

¹⁰ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. ¹¹ He shall see the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

²⁸ Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; ²⁶ To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.

⁶ For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷ For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. ⁸ But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. ¹⁰ For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. ¹¹ And not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the reconciliation.

¹⁶ So is the gift not like it was by one that sinned: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification. ¹⁷ For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) ¹⁸ Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. ¹⁹ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. ²⁰ Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ²¹ That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

³⁴ Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

⁴ For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.

⁶ Who gave himself a ransom for all, this to be a testimony at the proper time.

¹⁴ Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own, zealous of good works.

¹⁰ For it befitted him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

¹⁸ Since you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain manner of life received by tradition from your fathers; ¹⁹ But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

²⁴ Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:

²³ Or if his sin, which he has sinned, comes to his knowledge; he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a male without blemish:

²⁵ And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out its blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.

¹ And if his offering be a sacrifice of a peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD. ² And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of meeting: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about. ³ And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is upon the entrails, ⁴ And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the fat above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away. ⁵ And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD. ⁶ And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish. ⁷ If he offers a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the LORD. ⁸ And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of meeting: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar. ⁹ And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat, and the whole fat tail, it shall he take off close to the backbone; and the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is upon the entrails, ¹⁰ And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the fat above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away. ¹¹ And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto the LORD. ¹² And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD. ¹³ And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of meeting: and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about. ¹⁴ And he shall offer his offering, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is upon the entrails, ¹⁵ And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the fat above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away. ¹⁶ And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet aroma: all the fat is the LORD'S. ¹⁷ It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that you eat neither fat nor blood.

¹⁹ That is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For he has made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

⁸ Of Issachar; Nethanel the son of Zuar.

⁵ And those that do encamp next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and Nethanel the son of Zuar shall be captain of the children of Issachar.

²⁰ And Noah built an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

² And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance.

¹¹ And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD. ¹² If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mixed with oil, of fine flour, fried. ¹³ Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings. ¹⁴ I have peace offerings with me; this day have I paid my vows.

⁸ I will not reprove you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. ⁹ I will take no bullock out of your house, nor male goats out of your folds. ¹⁰ For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. ¹¹ I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. ¹² If I were hungry, I would not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof. ¹³ Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? ¹⁴ Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay your vows unto the most High:

¹⁶ For you desire not sacrifice; else would I give it: you delight not in burnt offering.

¹¹ To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? says the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of male goats.

²² For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

²² Though you offer me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fatted beasts.

⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

¹⁰ On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.

¹⁵ I will offer unto you burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the nations, says the LORD of hosts.

¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense.

³ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

⁶ Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

¹² And those who encamp by him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

⁵ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

³² The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, and one log of oil.

⁹ You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.

²⁷ But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.

²¹ For he has made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

¹⁰ Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

¹⁸ On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.

²⁰ And by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the captain of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

¹¹ Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni.

²² Then the tribe of Benjamin: and the captain of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.

² His descendants shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

²⁰ And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

²⁷ And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

¹⁶ That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.

¹⁵ By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

¹³ And his offering was one silver charger, the weight of which was a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them were full of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering: ¹⁴ One spoon of ten shekels of gold, full of incense: ¹⁵ One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering: ¹⁶ One kid of the goats for a sin offering: ¹⁷ And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five lambs of the first year: this was the offering of Nahshon the son of Amminadab. ¹⁸ On the second day Nethanel the son of Zuar, leader of Issachar, did offer: ¹⁹ He offered for his offering one silver charger, the weight of which was a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering: ⁶² One golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense: ⁶³ One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering: ⁶⁴ One kid of the goats for a sin offering: ⁶⁵ And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five lambs of the first year: this was the offering of Abidan the son of Gideoni. ⁶⁶ On the tenth day Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai, leader of the children of Dan, offered: ⁶⁷ His offering was one silver charger, the weight of which was a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering: ⁸⁰ One golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense: ⁸¹ One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering: ⁸² One kid of the goats for a sin offering: ⁸³ And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five lambs of the first year: this was the offering of Ahira the son of Enan. ⁸⁴ This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the leaders of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold: ⁸⁵ Each charger of silver weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, each bowl seventy: all the silver vessels weighed two thousand and four hundred shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary: ⁸⁶ The golden spoons were twelve, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, according to the shekel of the sanctuary: all the gold of the spoons was a hundred and twenty shekels. ⁸⁷ All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their grain offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve. ⁸⁸ And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the male goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after it was anointed.

²⁹ Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.

¹⁰ And the leaders offered for the dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the leaders offered their offering before the altar.

⁶ The multitude of camels shall cover your land, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the LORD. ⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto you: they shall come up with acceptance on my altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. ⁸ Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? ⁹ Surely the coastlands shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you. ¹⁰ And the sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister unto you: for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor have I had mercy on you.

¹⁰ We have an altar, of which they have no right to eat who serve the tabernacle.

¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

¹⁴ Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD a hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of bronze and iron beyond weighing; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and you may add to it.

⁴ Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses:

⁷ And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

²⁵ And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the articles, even the offering for the house of our God, which the king, and his counselors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered: ²⁶ I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver articles worth a hundred talents, and of gold a hundred talents;

¹⁸ And you shall make two cherubim of gold, of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. ¹⁹ And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on the two ends of it. ²⁰ And the cherubim shall stretch forth their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall face one another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. ²¹ And you shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. ²² And there I will meet with you, and I will commune with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give you in commandment unto the children of Israel.

⁹ And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses. ¹⁰ And all the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshiped, every man in his tent door. ¹¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

¹ And the LORD called unto Moses, and spoke unto him out of the tabernacle of meeting, saying,

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

⁸ With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even clearly, and not in dark sayings; and the form of the LORD shall he behold: why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

⁴ So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from there the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, who dwells between the cherubim: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

²³ And within the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.

¹ [To the Chief Musician upon shoshannim – Eduth. A Psalm of Asaph.] Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you that lead Joseph like a flock; you that dwell between the cherubim, shine forth.

¹ The LORD reigns; let the people tremble: he sits between the cherubim; let the earth be moved.

¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

¹² Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
