¹³ When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

¹³ I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

²⁰ And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.

⁶ But that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then said he to the paralytic) Arise, take up your bed, and go unto your house.

⁸ For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

³² And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

³⁷ He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man;

⁴¹ The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

²¹ Then Jesus went from there, and departed into the regions of Tyre and Sidon.

³¹ When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

²⁷ And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and on the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am? ²⁸ And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elijah; and others, One of the prophets. ²⁹ And he said unto them, But who say you that I am? And Peter answered and said unto him, You are the Christ.

³⁸ Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

⁴⁵ For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

¹⁸ And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am? ¹⁹ They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again. ²⁰ He said unto them, But whom say you that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

⁵¹ And he said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter you shall see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

²⁷ And has given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

³⁴ The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abides forever: and how say you, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

⁵⁶ And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

³⁸ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

¹⁴ Since then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; ¹⁵ And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. ¹⁶ For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the nature of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore in all things he had to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ For in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help them that are tempted.
