³ Does God pervert judgment? or does the Almighty pervert justice?

²⁵ That be far from you to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

⁴ He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are justice: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

⁷ Therefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.

¹⁷ Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?

² I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just before God?

³ Is it good unto you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and smile upon the counsel of the wicked?

⁷ Behold, I cry out concerning wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no justice.

¹⁵ What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

²⁰ His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

⁵ For Job has said, I am righteous: and God has taken away my justice.

¹⁰ Therefore hearken unto me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity. ¹¹ For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways. ¹² Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert justice.

¹⁷ Shall even he that hates right govern? and will you condemn him that is most just? ¹⁸ Is it fit to say to a king, You are wicked? and to princes, You are ungodly? ¹⁹ How much less to him that regards not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

¹³ Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

² Shall he that contends with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproves God, let him answer it.

⁸ Will you also annul my judgment? will you condemn me, that you may be righteous?

¹⁴ Righteousness and justice are the habitation of your throne: mercy and truth shall go before your face.

⁴ The king's strength also loves justice; you do establish equity, you execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

²⁵ Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

¹⁷ Yet the children of your people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.

²⁰ Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O you house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

¹⁴ Therefore has the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he does: for we obeyed not his voice.

⁵ But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

⁴ God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged. ⁵ But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who takes vengeance? (I speak as a man) ⁶ God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are your ways, you King of saints.

⁷ And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.
