⁴ The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he awakens morning by morning, he awakens my ear to hear as the learned.

¹¹ And the LORD said unto him, Who has made man's mouth? or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? ¹² Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say.

³ My voice shall you hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto you, and will look up.

² You are fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into your lips: therefore God has blessed you forever.

¹⁴⁷ I rose before the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in your word.

⁸ Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning; for in you do I trust: cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto you.

²³ A man has joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

¹¹ A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. ¹⁶ For I will not contend forever, neither will I be always angry: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. ¹⁷ For the iniquity of his covetousness was I angry, and struck him: I hid myself, and was angry, and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart. ¹⁸ I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. ¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, says the LORD; and I will heal him.

⁹ Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

²⁸ Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

⁵⁴ And when he came into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, From where has this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

⁴⁶ And no man was able to answer him a word, neither dared any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

²² And all bore him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to contradict nor resist.

¹⁵ And the Jews marveled, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned? ¹⁶ Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. ¹⁷ If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
