²¹ But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that comes in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God wills. And he sailed from Ephesus.

¹ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD your God: for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night.

³⁹ And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.

⁶¹ And another also said, Lord, I will follow you; but let me first go bid them farewell, who are at home at my house.

²⁹ That you abstain from anything offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if you keep yourselves, you shall do well. Farewell.

²¹ After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

¹⁶ For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hastened, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

¹⁴ And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

¹⁰ Making request, if by any means now at last I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

³² That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

¹⁹ But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and will know, not the speech of them who are puffed up, but the power.

⁷ For I will not see you now in passing; but I trust to tarry awhile with you, if the Lord permits.

¹¹ Finally, brethren, farewell. Be restored, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

¹⁹ But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. ²⁰ For I have no man like minded, who will naturally care for your state. ²¹ For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. ²² But you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel. ²³ Him therefore I hope to send presently, as soon as I shall see how it will go with me. ²⁴ But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.

³ And this will we do, if God permits.

¹⁵ For you ought to say, If the Lord wills, we shall live, and do this, or that.

¹⁷ For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
