⁵ Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:

³ Does God pervert judgment? or does the Almighty pervert justice?

⁷ But the LORD shall endure forever: he has prepared his throne for judgment. ⁸ And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

⁵ He loves righteousness and justice: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

⁶ And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

² He shall judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.

⁴ The king's strength also loves justice; you do establish equity, you execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

⁷ The works of his hands are truth and justice; all his commandments are sure.

²⁴ But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, says the LORD.

³⁷ Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

³⁵ But they who shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

³⁶ Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing you put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

²² Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

⁵ But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, so that we may be also glorified together.

¹ I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called,

²⁸ And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

¹² Giving thanks unto the Father, who has made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

¹⁴ For you, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:

⁶ Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; ⁷ And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

¹¹ Therefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

¹² If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

³² But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great fight with afflictions; ³³ Partly, while you were made a public display both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, while you became companions of them that were so used.

¹⁴ If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. ¹⁵ But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. ¹⁶ Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. ¹⁷ For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? ¹⁸ And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

⁴ You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

⁴ Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? for you only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before you; for your judgments are made manifest.

⁷ And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.

² For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great harlot, who did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
