¹² Let no man despise your youth; but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

¹⁰ Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.

¹ Be followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

¹⁰ Now if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear: for he works the work of the Lord, as I also do. ¹¹ Let no man therefore despise him: but send him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.

⁴ But in all things presenting ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, ⁵ In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings; ⁶ By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by love unfeigned, ⁷ By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, ⁸ By honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; ⁹ As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; ¹⁰ As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. ¹¹ O you Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. ¹² You are not constrained in us, but you are constrained in your own affections. ¹³ Now in return for the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be you also enlarged in heart. ¹⁴ Be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what partnership has light with darkness? ¹⁵ And what harmony has Christ with Belial? or what part has he that believes with an infidel? ¹⁶ And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. ¹⁷ Therefore come out from among them, and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

⁶ And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit:

¹⁰ You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and just and unblamable was our behavior among you that believe:

⁷ For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; ⁸ Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing; but worked with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you: ⁹ Not because we have not that right, but to make ourselves an example unto you to follow us.

¹⁴ And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

⁷ Consider what I say; and the Lord give you understanding in all things.

¹⁵ Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

²² Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

⁷ In all things showing yourself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing incorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

¹⁵ These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you.

¹³ Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good life his works with meekness of wisdom.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

³ Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

⁵ And for this reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; ⁶ And to knowledge self control; and to self control patience; and to patience godliness; ⁷ And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. ⁸ For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
