1 Thessalonians 2 Cross References - KJ2000

1 For yourselves, brethren, know our visit unto you, that it was not in vain: 2 But even after we had suffered before, and were shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much opposition. 3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: 4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts. 5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness; God is witness: 6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. 7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children: 8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you were dear unto us. 9 For you remember, brethren, our labor and travail: for laboring night and day, because we would not be a burden unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God. 10 You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and just and unblamable was our behavior among you that believe: 11 As you know how we exhorted and encouraged and charged every one of you, as a father does his children, 12 That you would walk worthy of God, who has called you unto his kingdom and glory. 13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe. 14 For you, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: 15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost. 17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored the more abundantly to see your face with great desire. 18 Therefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us. 19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? 20 For you are our glory and joy.

Job 31:1-39

1 I made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I think upon a maiden? 2 For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high? 3 Is not destruction to the wicked? and a disaster to the workers of iniquity? 4 Does not he see my ways, and count all my steps? 5 If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot has hastened to deceit; 6 Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know my integrity. 7 If my step has turned out of the way, and my heart walked after my eyes, and if any spot has cleaved to my hands; 8 Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out. 9 If my heart has been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbor’s door; 10 Then let my wife grind for another, and let others bow down upon her. 11 For this is a heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges. 12 For it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all my increase. 13 If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me; 14 What then shall I do when God rises up? and when he comes, what shall I answer him? 15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb? 16 If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail; 17 Or have eaten my morsel alone, and the fatherless has not eaten of it; 18 (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided him from my mother’s womb;) 19 If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any poor without covering; 20 If his heart has not blessed me, and if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep; 21 If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw I had help in the gate: 22 Then let my arm fall from my shoulder blade, and my arm be broken from its socket. 23 For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his majesty I could not endure. 24 If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, You are my confidence; 25 If I rejoiced because my wealth was great, and because my hand had gotten much; 26 If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon moving in brightness; 27 And my heart has been secretly enticed, or my mouth has kissed my hand: 28 This also would be an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above. 29 If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him: 30 Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul. 31 If the men of my tent have not, Oh that we had of his meat! we cannot be satisfied. 32 The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveler. 33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding my iniquity in my bosom: 34 Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door? 35 Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that my adversary had written a book. 36 Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me. 37 I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him. 38 If my land cries against me, and its furrows likewise complain; 39 If I have eaten its fruit without payment, or have caused its owners to lose their life:

1 Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not you my work in the Lord? 2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of my apostleship are you in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 9:4-6

4 Have we not the right to eat and to drink? 5 Have we not the right to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? 6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we the right to forbear working?

1 Corinthians 9:6-7

6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we the right to forbear working? 7 Who goes to warfare any time at his own expense? who plants a vineyard, and eats not of the fruit thereof? or who feeds a flock, and eats not of the milk of the flock?

1 Corinthians 9:12-18

12 If others be partakers of this right over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this right; but endure all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. 13 Do you not know that they who minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they who wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? 14 Even so has the Lord ordained that they who preach the gospel should live of the gospel. 15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my boasting void.

1 Corinthians 9:15

15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my boasting void. 16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! 17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a stewardship of the gospel is committed unto me.

1 Corinthians 9:17-18

17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a stewardship of the gospel is committed unto me. 18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my right in the gospel.

1 Corinthians 9:18

18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my right in the gospel.

1 Corinthians 9:22

22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

1 Corinthians 10:5

5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

1 Corinthians 11:7

7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

1 Corinthians 11:9

9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

1 Corinthians 12:13-15

13 For by one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1 Corinthians 15:2

2 By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:10

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1 Corinthians 15:23

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

1 Corinthians 15:58

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, since you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 16:21

21 The salutation is of me Paul with my own hand.

2 Corinthians 1:12

12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

2 Corinthians 1:14

14 As also you have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as you also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

2 Corinthians 2:17

17 For we are not as many, who corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:18

18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:2

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

2 Corinthians 4:5

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

2 Corinthians 5:11

11 Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

2 Corinthians 5:16

16 Therefore from now on know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet from now on know we him no more.

2 Corinthians 6:1

1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain.

2 Corinthians 6:3-10

3 Giving no offense in anything, that the ministry be not blamed: 4 But in all things presenting ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, 5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings;

2 Corinthians 6:5-10

5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings; 6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by love unfeigned, 7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8 By honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; 9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; 10 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 11 O you Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. 12 You are not constrained in us, but you are constrained in your own affections. 13 Now in return for the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be you also enlarged in heart.

2 Corinthians 7:2

2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.

2 Corinthians 8:1-2

1 Moreover, brethren, we want you to know of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

2 Corinthians 10:1-2

1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am humble among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

2 Corinthians 10:1

1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am humble among you, but being absent am bold toward you: 2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, though I think to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

2 Corinthians 10:10-11

10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible. 11 Let such a one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

2 Corinthians 11:9

9 And when I was present with you, and in want, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

2 Corinthians 11:11

11 Why? because I love you not? God knows. 12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them who desire occasion; that when they glory, they may be found even as we. 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:13-14

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:31

31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forevermore, knows that I lie not.

2 Corinthians 12:13-14

13 For what is it in which you were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong. 14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. 15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you, though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved. 16 But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I took you with guile. 17 Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?

2 Corinthians 12:17

17 Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you? 18 I urged Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?

2 Corinthians 13:4

4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

2 Corinthians 13:10

10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord has given me to edification, and not to destruction.

Galatians 1:10

10 For do I now seek the favor of men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Galatians 1:20

20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

Galatians 1:22

22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ:

Galatians 2:2

2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them who were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

Galatians 2:7

7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

Galatians 4:11

11 I am afraid for you, lest I have bestowed upon you labor in vain.

Galatians 4:14

14 And my trial which was in my flesh you despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

Galatians 4:19

19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Galatians 5:11

11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offense of the cross ceased.

Galatians 5:16

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, self-control: against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:26

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Galatians 6:13

13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

Ephesians 3:8

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Ephesians 3:13

13 Therefore I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Ephesians 4:1

1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called,

Ephesians 4:17

17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Ephesians 5:2

2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance.

Ephesians 5:8

8 For you were once darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Ephesians 6:6

6 Not with eye service, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

Ephesians 6:19-20

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that in this I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Philippians 1:8

8 For God is my witness, how greatly I long after you all in the affections of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:22-26

22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor: yet what I shall choose I know not. 23 For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. 25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; 26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again. 27 Only let your manner of life be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Philippians 1:27

27 Only let your manner of life be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; 28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that of God. 29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; 30 Having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

Philippians 2:16

16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain. 17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

Philippians 2:20

20 For I have no man like minded, who will naturally care for your state.

Philippians 2:25-26

25 Yet I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labor, and fellow soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. 26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because you had heard that he had been sick.

Philippians 4:1

1 Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

Philippians 4:16

16 For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again unto my necessity.

Colossians 1:6

6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: 7 As you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

Colossians 1:10

10 That you might walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 1:28

28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Colossians 2:1

1 For I desire that you know what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

Colossians 2:5

5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him:

Colossians 3:22

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eye service, as men pleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

Colossians 4:12

12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

Colossians 4:18

18 The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 1:1

1 Paul, and Silas, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; 3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

1 Thessalonians 1:3

3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

1 Thessalonians 1:3-3

3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; 4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. 5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

1 Thessalonians 1:5

5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 6 And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit:

1 Thessalonians 1:6

6 And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit: 7 So that you were examples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. 8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak anything. 9 For they themselves show of us what manner of welcome we had unto you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 1:10

10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 2:2

2 But even after we had suffered before, and were shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much opposition.

1 Thessalonians 2:5-6

5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness; God is witness:

1 Thessalonians 2:5

5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness; God is witness: 6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 2:6

6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. 7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children:

1 Thessalonians 2:9

9 For you remember, brethren, our labor and travail: for laboring night and day, because we would not be a burden unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God. 10 You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and just and unblamable was our behavior among you that believe: 11 As you know how we exhorted and encouraged and charged every one of you, as a father does his children,

1 Thessalonians 2:13

13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe.

1 Thessalonians 2:20

20 For you are our glory and joy.

1 Thessalonians 3:4

4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and you know. 5 For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor be in vain. 6 But now when Timothy came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

1 Thessalonians 3:8-9

8 For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord. 9 For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy with which we joy for your sakes before our God; 10 Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

1 Thessalonians 3:10-11

10 Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? 11 Now God himself even our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

1 Thessalonians 3:13

13 To the end he may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-2

1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.

1 Thessalonians 4:1

1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more. 2 For you know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 4:7

7 For God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1 Thessalonians 4:12

12 That you may walk honestly toward them that are outside, and that you may have lack of nothing.

1 Thessalonians 4:15

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede them who are asleep.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

11 Therefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it.

2 Thessalonians 1:1

1 Paul, and Silas, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Thessalonians 1:4

4 So that we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure:

2 Thessalonians 1:7-2:1

7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

2 Thessalonians 1:10

10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 11 Therefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:10

10 And with all deception of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14

13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14 To which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:1

1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

2 Thessalonians 3:7-9

7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

2 Thessalonians 3:7

7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; 8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing; but worked with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you: 9 Not because we have not that right, but to make ourselves an example unto you to follow us.

2 Thessalonians 3:12

12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

2 Thessalonians 3:17

17 The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every epistle: so I write.

1 Timothy 1:11-13

11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

1 Timothy 1:11

11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. 12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and insolent: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

1 Timothy 2:4

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 3:3

3 Not given to wine, not violent, not greedy of money; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

1 Timothy 3:8

8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not double tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of dishonest gain;

1 Timothy 4:10

10 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe.

1 Timothy 4:12

12 Let no man despise your youth; but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 5:5

5 Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusts in God, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.

1 Timothy 5:7

7 And these things give in a charge, that they may be blameless.

1 Timothy 5:17

17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine.

1 Timothy 5:21

21 I charge you before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

1 Timothy 6:2

2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are believers and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

1 Timothy 6:13

13 I give you charge in the sight of God, who brings all things to life, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 14 That you keep this commandment without spot, irreproachable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15 Who in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

1 Timothy 6:17

17 Charge them that are rich in this present age, that they be not haughty, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;

1 Timothy 6:20

20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to your trust, avoiding profane and vain utterances, and oppositions of what is falsely called knowledge:

2 Timothy 1:3

3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day;

2 Timothy 1:9

9 Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

2 Timothy 1:12

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

2 Timothy 1:14

14 That good thing which was committed unto you keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

2 Timothy 2:2

2 And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

2 Timothy 2:24-25

24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose them; if God perhaps will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

2 Timothy 3:10

10 But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,

2 Timothy 4:1-2

1 I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be diligent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Titus 1:3

3 But has in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Savior;

Titus 1:7

7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, not violent, not given to dishonest gain;

Titus 2:6

6 Young men likewise exhort to be sensible. 7 In all things showing yourself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing incorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is an opponent may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. 9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not talking back;

Titus 2:13

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

Titus 2:15

15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you.

Philemon 1:1

1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellow laborer,

Philemon 1:8-9

8 Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you that which is required, 9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech you, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Philemon 1:9

9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech you, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Hebrews 5:7-8

7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Hebrews 6:8

8 But that which bears thorns and briars is worthless, and is near unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Hebrews 10:27-30

27 But a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much worse punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done insult unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense, says the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Hebrews 10:33-34

33 Partly, while you were made a public display both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, while you became companions of them that were so used. 34 For you had compassion on me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a better and an enduring possession.

Hebrews 11:36-37

36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

Hebrews 12:2-3

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such hostility of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 13:17

17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Hebrews 13:22

22 And I beseech you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.

James 1:18

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

James 3:17

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 5:1-6

1 Come now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver is rusted; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as if it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days. 4 Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them who have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts. 5 You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you.

1 Peter 1:15-16

15 But as he who has called you is holy, so be holy in all manner of conduct; 16 Because it is written, You will be holy; for I am holy.

1 Peter 1:23

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever.

1 Peter 1:25

25 But the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

1 Peter 2:2

2 As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby:

1 Peter 2:9

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

1 Peter 2:14-16

14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

1 Peter 3:9

9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but on the contrary blessing; knowing that you are unto this called, that you should inherit a blessing.

1 Peter 5:2

2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for dishonest gain, but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.

1 Peter 5:10

10 But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, restore, establish, strengthen, settle you.

2 Peter 1:16

16 For we have not followed cunningly devised myths, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

2 Peter 1:16-21

16 For we have not followed cunningly devised myths, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; to which you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of one’s own interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 2:3

3 And through covetousness shall they with false words exploit you: whose judgment of old now lingers not, and their destruction slumbers not.

2 Peter 2:14-15

14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: a heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Who have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

2 Peter 2:18

18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that have just escaped from them who live in error.

2 Peter 3:2

2 That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:

1 John 1:6-7

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 2:6

6 He that says he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1 John 2:28

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

1 John 3:3

3 And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

1 John 3:16

16 By this perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

1 John 5:4-5

4 For whoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Jude 1:3

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jude 1:11

11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.

Jude 1:24

24 Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

10 Fear none of those things which you will suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.

Revelation 2:23

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Revelation 4:10-11

10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that is sitting on the throne, and worship him that lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 12:9-12

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death. 12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil has come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.

Revelation 18:12-13

12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all citron wood, and all manner of vessels of ivory, and all manner of vessels of most precious wood, and of bronze, and iron, and marble, 13 And cinnamon, and incense, and myrrh, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

Revelation 22:11

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
