²⁶ I took the heavens and the earth to witness against you this day, that perishing, ye shall perish to-morrow from the land which ye are passing over Jordan there to possess it: ye shall not prolong the days upon it, but being destroyed, ye shall be destroyed.

¹² If we endure, we shall also reign together: if we deny, he will also deny us: ¹³ If we believe not, he remains faithful: he cannot deny himself.

¹⁶ They confess to know God; and in works they deny, being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work not tried.

⁸ I know thy works: behold, I have given before thee an open door, and none can shut it, for thou hast a little power, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
