²² even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe, for there is no distinction,

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of victory, as a bridegroom putteth on a priestly diadem, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

¹¹ But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment; ¹² and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless.

²² But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet;

⁹ and he made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

¹ Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest; for wherein thou judges another, thou condemnest thyself, for thou that judgest dost practice the same things.

³ For what saith the scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness. ⁴ Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt. ⁵ But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness. ⁶ Even as David also pronounceth blessing upon the man, unto whom God reckoneth righteousness apart from works, ⁷ saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. ⁸ Blessed is the man to whom, the Lord will not reckon sin. ⁹ Is this blessing then pronounced upon the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say, To Abraham his faith was reckoned for righteousness. ¹⁰ How then was it reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision: ¹¹ and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them, ¹² and the father of circumcision to them who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he had in uncircumcision. ¹³ For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.

²⁰ yet, looking unto the promise of God, he wavered not through unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to perform. ²² Wherefore also it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.

¹ Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, ² through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations; knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness, ⁴ and stedfastness, approvedness, and approvedness, hope: ⁵ and hope putteth not to shame, because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us. ⁶ For while we were yet weak, in due season Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷ For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; for peradventure for the good man some one would even dare to die. ⁸ But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath of God through him. ¹⁰ For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life, ¹¹ and not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

¹ There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

³⁰ What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who followed not after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith:

¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:

⁷ For who maketh thee to differ? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? but if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory as if thou hadst not received it?

¹⁶ yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law; because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

⁶ Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness. ⁷ Know therefore that they that are of faith, the same are sons of Abraham. ⁸ And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the nations be blessed. ⁹ So then they that are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

²⁸ There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female, for ye all are one man in Christ Jesus.

⁹ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

¹¹ where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.

²³ and the scripture was fulfilled which saith, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God.
