⁴⁰ And he said unto them, Why are ye fearful? how is it that ye have not faith?

(46:2) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ² (46:3) Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, and though the mountains be moved into the heart of the seas; ³ (46:4) Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof. ³ A bruised reed shall he not break, and the dimly burning wick shall he not quench; he shall make the right to go forth according to the truth.

² When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

³⁰ But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

²⁶ And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

³¹ And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and took hold of him, and saith unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

⁸ And Jesus perceiving it, said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye took no bread?

²⁵ And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And being afraid they marveled, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him?

¹⁹ When therefore they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the boat; and they were afraid. ²⁰ But he saith unto them, It is I, be not afraid.
