⁵⁰ And he led them out until they were over against Bethany; and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

¹⁸ And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine; and he was priest of God the Most High. ¹⁹ And he blessed him, and said: 'Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Maker of heaven and earth; ²⁰ and blessed be God the Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand.' And he gave him a tenth of all.

⁴ and make me savoury food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.'

⁹ And Joseph said unto his father: 'They are my sons, whom God hath given me here.' And he said: 'Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.'

²⁸ All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is it that their father spoke unto them and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

²³ 'Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying: On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel; ye shall say unto them: ²⁴ The LORD bless thee, and keep thee; ²⁵ The LORD make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; ²⁶ The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ²⁷ So shall they put My name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them.'

¹⁷ And he left them, and went forth out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.

¹⁶ And taking them in his arms, laying his hands upon them, he blessed them.

¹ And when they draw nigh unto Jerusalem, unto Bethsphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth two of his disciples,

¹² Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is nigh unto Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey off.

⁵ And they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest's office have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham: ⁶ but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises. ⁷ But without any dispute the less is blessed of the better.
