⁴⁶ And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

¹ And Hannah prayed, and said: my heart exulteth in the LORD, my horn is exalted in the LORD; my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in Thy salvation. ² There is none holy as the LORD, for there is none beside Thee; neither is there any rock like our God. ³ Multiply not exceeding proud talk; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth; for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. ⁴ The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. ⁵ They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry have ceased; while the barren hath borne seven, she that had many children hath languished. ⁶ The LORD killeth, and maketh alive; He bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. ⁷ The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich; He bringeth low, He also lifteth up. ⁸ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dung-hill, to make them sit with princes, and inherit the throne of glory; for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and He hath set the world upon them. ⁹ He will keep the feet of His holy ones, but the wicked shall be put to silence in darkness; for not by strength shall man prevail. ¹⁰ They that strive with the LORD shall be broken to pieces; against them will He thunder in heaven; the LORD will judge the ends of the earth; and He will give strength unto His king, and exalt the horn of His anointed.

² (34:3) My soul shall glory in the LORD; the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. ³ (34:4) O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.

⁹ And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; it shall rejoice in His salvation.

¹ A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. ² Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits;

¹⁵ 'Therefore glorify ye the LORD in the regions of light, even the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea.' ¹⁶ From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs: 'Glory to the righteous.' But I say: I waste away, I waste away, woe is me! The treacherous deal treacherously; yea, the treacherous deal very treacherously.

²⁵ In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of victory, as a bridegroom putteth on a priestly diadem, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

¹⁷ For though the fig-tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls; ¹⁸ Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will exult in the God of my salvation.

¹¹ and not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

³¹ that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

¹⁴ But thanks be unto God, who always leadeth us in triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest through us the savor of his knowledge in every place.

³ for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

⁸ whom not having known ye love, on whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
