¹⁰ Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: Far be it from God, that He should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that He should commit iniquity.

²⁵ That be far from Thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that so the righteous should be as the wicked; that be far from Thee; shall not the judge of all the earth do justly?'

⁴ The Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice; a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is He.

⁷ Now therefore let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.'

³ Doth God pervert judgment? Or doth the Almighty pervert justice?

² Hear my words, ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge. ³ For the ear trieth words, as the palate tasteth food.

³⁴ Men of understanding will say unto me, yea, every wise man that heareth me:

²³ Who hath enjoined Him His way? Or who hath said: 'Thou hast wrought unrighteousness'?

²³ The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, is excellent in power, yet to judgment and plenteous justice He doeth no violence.

¹⁵ (92:16) To declare that the LORD is upright, my Rock, in whom there is no unrighteousness.

³² He that committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding; he doeth it that would destroy his own soul.

³² He that refuseth correction despiseth his own soul; but he that hearkeneth to reproof getteth understanding.

¹ Right wouldest Thou be, O LORD, were I to contend with Thee, yet will I reason with Thee: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? Wherefore are all they secure that deal very treacherously?

⁴ God forbid; yea, let God be found true, but every man a liar, as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy words, And mightest prevail when thou comest into judgment. ⁵ But if our righteousness commendeth the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who visiteth with wrath? (I speak after the manner of men.)

¹⁴ What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
