¹² I have not gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured up the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

¹⁰ Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would exult in pain, though He spare not; for I have not denied the words of the Holy One.

²² Receive, I pray thee, instruction from His mouth, and lay up His words in thy heart.

⁹ (19:10) The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of the LORD are true, they are righteous altogether; ¹⁰ (19:11) More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

¹¹ Thy word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee.

¹⁰³ How sweet are Thy words unto my palate! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

¹²⁷ Therefore I love Thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold.

¹⁶ Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and Thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart; because Thy name was called on me, O LORD God of hosts.

⁴² And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household servants, to give them their portion of food in due season?

⁴⁶ the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the unfaithful.

³² But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not.

³⁴ Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work.

⁶⁶ Upon this many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. ⁶⁷ Jesus said therefore unto the twelve, Would ye also go away? ⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ And we have believed and know that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

³¹ Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples,

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

³⁸ But the righteous one shall live by faith; And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of them that shrink back unto perdition, but of them that have faith unto the saving of the soul.

² as newborn babes, long for the spiritual milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation,

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they all are not of us.
