²¹ Then may also My covenant be broken with David My servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, My ministers.

⁵ For is not my house established with God? for an everlasting covenant He hath made with me, ordered in all things, and sure; for all my salvation, and all my desire, will he not make it to grow?

¹⁸ then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I covenanted with David thy father, saying: There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

⁷ Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that He had made with David, and as He promised to give a lamp to him and to his children alway.

³⁴ (89:35) My covenant will I not profane, nor alter that which is gone out of My lips.

¹¹ The LORD swore unto David in truth; He will not turn back from it: 'Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. ¹² If thy children keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children also for ever shall sit upon thy throne.'

¹⁷ There will I make a horn to shoot up unto David, there have I ordered a lamp for Mine anointed.

⁶ (9:5) For a child is born unto us, a son is given unto us; and the government is upon his shoulder; and his name is called Pele- joez-el-gibbor-Abi-ad-sar-shalom; ⁷ (9:6) That the government may be increased, and of peace there be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it through justice and through righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts doth perform this.

³ Incline your ear, and come unto Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

¹⁸ neither shall there be cut off unto the priests the Levites a man before Me to offer burnt-offerings, and to burn meal-offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

¹⁴ And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

³² He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: ³³ and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

⁶⁹ And hath raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of his servant David ⁷⁰ (As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old),

¹⁰ and made them kings and priests unto our God, and they reign upon earth.
