³ Then said the LORD unto me: 'What seest thou, Jeremiah?' And I said: 'Figs; the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, that cannot be eaten, they are so bad.'

⁹ Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, thus he said: 'Come and let us go to the seer'; for he that is now called a prophet was beforetime called a seer. -

¹¹ Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying: 'Jeremiah, what seest thou?' And I said: 'I see a rod of an almond-tree.' ¹² Then said the LORD unto me: 'Thou hast well seen; for I watch over My word to perform it.' ¹³ And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying: 'What seest thou?' And I said: 'I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is from the north.' ¹⁴ Then the LORD said unto me: 'Out of the north the evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.

⁸ And the LORD said unto me: 'Amos, what seest thou?' And I said: 'A plumbline.' Then said the Lord: Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of My people Israel; I will not again pardon them any more;

² And He said: 'Amos, what seest thou?' And I said: 'A basket of summer fruit.' Then said the LORD unto me: The end is come upon My people Israel; I will not again pardon them any more.

² And he said unto me: 'What seest thou?' And I said: 'I have seen, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes, yea, seven, to the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;

² And he said unto me: 'What seest thou?' And I answered: 'I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.'

⁵ Then the angel that spoke with me went forth, and said unto me: 'Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.' ⁶ And I said: 'What is it?' And he said: 'This is the measure that goeth forth.' He said moreover: 'This is their eye in all the land - ⁷ and, behold, there was lifted up a round piece of lead - and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the measure.' ⁸ And he said: 'This is Wickedness.' And he cast her down into the midst of the measure, and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof. ⁹ Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came forth two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork; and they lifted up the measure between the earth and the heaven. ¹⁰ Then said I to the angel that spoke with me: 'Whither do these bear the measure?' ¹¹ And he said unto me: 'To build her a house in the land of Shinar; and when it is prepared, she shall be set there in her own place.

³² and before him shall be gathered all the nations; and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats, ³³ and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
