² And when he had gone through those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece.

¹³ For I bend Judah for Me, I fill the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Javan, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty man.

⁴⁰ And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation.

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

⁴¹ And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.

¹² and from thence to Philippi, which is a city of Macedonia, the first of the district, a Roman colony; and we were in that city tarrying certain days.

¹ Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:

¹⁰ And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Beroea; who when they were come thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

⁶ And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days, where we tarried seven days. ⁷ And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples gathered together to break bread, Paul discoursed with them, intending to depart on the morrow, and prolonged his speech until midnight.

¹¹ And when he was gone up, and had broken the bread, and eaten, and had talked with them a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

²⁸ whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ,

³ For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

¹¹ as ye know how we dealt with each one of you, as a father with his own children, exhorting you, and encouraging you,

¹ Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, that ye would abound more and more.
