³¹ and he was seen for many days of them that came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses unto the people.

¹⁶ But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

¹² And after these things he was manifested in another form unto two of them, as they walked, on their way into the country. ¹³ And they went away and told it unto the rest; neither believed they them. ¹⁴ Afterward he was manifested unto the eleven themselves as they sat at meat, and he upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them that had seen him after he was risen.

³⁶ And as they spake these things, he himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. ³⁷ But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit. ³⁸ And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do questionings arise in your heart? ³⁹ See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; handle me, and see, for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having. ⁴⁰ And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. ⁴¹ And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat? ⁴² And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of a honeycomb.

⁴⁸ Ye are witnesses of these things.

²⁷ and ye also bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

¹⁹ When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. ²⁰ And when he had said this, he showed unto them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord. ²¹ Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you; as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you. ²² And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit; ²³ whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven unto them, whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. ²⁴ But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. ²⁵ The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. ²⁶ And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. ²⁷ Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and see my hands, and reach hither thy hand, and put it into my side; and be not faithless, but believing. ²⁸ Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. ²⁹ Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

¹ After these things Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias, and he manifested himself on this wise. ² There was together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. ³ Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also come with thee. They went forth, and straightway entered into the boat, and that night they took nothing. ⁴ But when day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. ⁵ Jesus therefore saith unto them, Children, have ye aught to eat? They answered him, No. ⁶ And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. ⁷ That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his coat about him (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea. ⁸ But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits off), dragging the net full of fishes. ⁹ So when they got out upon the land, they see a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. ¹⁰ Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now taken. ¹¹ Simon Peter therefore went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty and three; and for all there were so many, the net was not rent. ¹² Jesus saith unto them, Come and break your fast. And none of the disciples durst inquire of him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. ¹³ Jesus cometh, and taketh the bread, and giveth them, and the fish likewise. ¹⁴ This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

³ to whom he also showed himself alive after his passion by many proofs, appearing unto them by the space of forty days, and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God:

⁸ But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

¹¹ who also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye looking into heaven? this Jesus, who was received up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye beheld him going into heaven.

²² beginning from the baptism of John, unto the day that he was received up from us, of these must one become a witness with us of his resurrection.

³² This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses.

¹⁵ and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.

³² And we are his witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

³⁹ And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the country of the Jews, and in Jerusalem, whom also they slew, hanging him on a tree.

⁴¹ not to all the people, but unto witnesses that were chosen before of God, even to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve, ⁶ then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep, ⁷ then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,

³ how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard, ⁴ God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifold powers, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.
