¹⁹ Howbeit the firm foundation of God standeth, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his; and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.

²⁷ So shall they put My name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them.'

⁵ And he spoke unto Korah and unto all his company, saying: 'In the morning the LORD will show who are His, and who is holy, and will cause him to come near unto Him; even him whom He may choose will He cause to come near unto Him.

²⁸ And unto man He said: 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.'

⁶ For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.

¹⁴ (34:15) Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

¹⁸ The LORD knoweth the days of them that are wholehearted; and their inheritance shall be for ever.

²⁷ Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. ²⁸ For the LORD loveth justice, and forsaketh not His saints; they are preserved for ever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

¹⁰ O ye that love the LORD, hate evil; He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivered them out of the hand of the wicked.

⁶ For he shall never be moved; the righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

¹ A Song of Ascents. They that trust in the LORD are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever. ² As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about His people, from this time forth and for ever.

⁷ Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the LORD, and depart from evil;

²⁵ When the whirlwind passeth, the wicked is no more; but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

³² What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and in her shall the afflicted of His people take refuge.

¹⁶ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a costly corner-stone of sure foundation; he that believeth shall not make haste.

¹⁹ We are become as they over whom Thou never borest rule, as they that were not called by Thy name.

¹⁵ And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto Mine elect: 'So may the Lord GOD slay thee'; but He shall call His servants by another name;

⁷ The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that take refuge in Him.

²³ In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, My servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet; for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.'

⁹ For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone are seven facets; behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts: And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

⁷ Who art thou, O great mountain before Zerubbabel? thou shalt become a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.' ⁸ Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying: ⁹ 'The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

¹⁸ I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen; but that the scripture may be fulfilled; He that eateth bread with me lifted up his heel against me.

²⁶ and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that even for a whole year they were gathered together with the church, and taught much people, and that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

¹⁷ That the residue of men may seek after the Lord, And all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, Saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

²⁸ And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? ³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? ³³ Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth, ³⁴ who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

¹¹ for the children being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth,

² God did not cast off his people which he foreknew. Or know ye not what the scripture saith of Elijah? how he pleadeth with God against Israel:

⁹ Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good.

⁹ and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy, as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name.

²⁰ yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation,

² unto the church of God which is at Corinth, even them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their Lord and ours:

¹⁰ According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon. ¹¹ For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

³ but if any man loveth God, the same is known by him.

¹ Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

⁹ but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?

²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone,

¹⁵ from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind, ¹⁸ being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart, ¹⁹ who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. ²⁰ But ye did not so learn Christ, ²¹ if so be that ye heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus: ²² that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit,

³⁰ And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.

¹ Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children, ² and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell. ³ But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints, ⁴ nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting; but rather giving of thanks. ⁵ For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. ⁶ Let no man deceive you with empty words; for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Be not ye therefore partakers with them, ⁸ For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light ⁹ (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), ¹⁰ proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord, ¹¹ and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them,

⁵ Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry, ⁶ for which things' sake cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience: ⁷ wherein ye also once walked, when ye lived in these things, ⁸ but now do ye also put them all away; anger, wrath, malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your mouth:

¹⁹ laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

¹¹ For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men, ¹² instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world, ¹³ looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

¹⁸ that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us: ¹⁹ which we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and stedfast and entering into that which is within the veil,

¹⁰ for he looked for the city which hath the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

¹³ Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance: ¹⁵ but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living, ¹⁶ because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy. ¹⁷ And if ye call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to each man's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear: ¹⁸ knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, ¹⁹ but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ:

⁴ whereby he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises, that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in that world by lust. ⁵ Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue, and in your virtue knowledge, ⁶ and in your knowledge self-control, and in your self-control patience, and in your patience godliness, ⁷ and in your godliness brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness love. ⁸ For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ For he that lacketh these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins. ¹⁰ Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things, ye shall never stumble:

¹⁴ Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight.

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they all are not of us.

⁷ Little children, let no man lead you astray; he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous: ⁸ he that doeth sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. ⁹ Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him; and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God. ¹⁰ In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil; whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

¹³ I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's throne is, and thou holdest fast my name, and didst not deny my faith in the days wherein Antipas was my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwelleth.

⁸ I know thy works (behold, I have set before thee a door opened, which none can shut), that thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name.

⁸ The beast that thou sawest was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go into perdition. And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names hath not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast, how that he was, and is not, and shall come.

¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

⁴ and they shall see his face, and his name shall be on their foreheads.
