⁵ Commit your way to the LORD; Trust him, and he will act.

²⁸ When you make a decision on something, it will be established for you, and light will brighten your way.

⁸ They say, “Commit yourself to the LORD; perhaps the LORD will deliver him, perhaps he will cause him to escape, since he delights in him.”

²² Cast on the LORD whatever he sends your way, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

³ Entrust your work to the LORD, and your planning will succeed.

¹ God’s SovereigntyIn light of all of this, I committed myself to explain it this way: the righteous and the wise, along with everything they do, are in the hands of God. Furthermore, as to love and hate, no human being knows everything concerning them.

³⁷ Who can command, and it happens, without the Lord having ordered it?

²⁵ Stop Worrying
“That’s why I’m telling you to stop worrying about your life—what you will eat or what you will drink—or about your body—what you will wear. Life is more than food, isn’t it, and the body more than clothing?

Then Jesus told his disciples, “That’s why I’m telling you to stop worrying about your life—what you will eat—or about your body—what you will wear,

²⁹ “So stop concerning yourselves about what you will eat or what you will drink, and stop being distressed, ³⁰ because it is the unbelievers who are concerned about all these things. Surely your Father knows that you need them!

⁶ Never worry about anything. Instead, in every situation let your petitions be made known to God through prayers and requests, with thanksgiving. ⁷ Then God’s peace, which goes far beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your hearts and minds in union with the Messiah Jesus.

¹⁵ Instead you should say, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live—and do this or that.”

⁷ Throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you.
