²² The male goat will bear on itself all their sins to a solitary land as Aaron sends the goat out to the wilderness.

¹⁰ He neither deals with us according to our sins, nor repays us equivalent to our iniquity.

¹² As distant as the east is from the west, that is how far he has removed our sins from us.

¹¹ Out of the suffering of his soul he will see light and find satisfaction. And through his knowledge his servant, the righteous one, will make many righteous, and he will bear their iniquities. ¹² Therefore I will allot him a portion with the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong; because he poured out his life to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he carried the sins of many, and made intercession for their transgressions.”

²² None of the transgressions that he had committed will be held against him. Because of the righteous deeds that he had done, he’ll live.

¹⁹ He will again show us compassion; he will subdue our iniquities. You will hurl all their sins into the deepest sea.

¹³ The Messiah redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written, “A curse on everyone who is hung on a tree!”

²⁸ so the Messiah was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people. And he will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly wait for him.

²⁴ “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the tree, so that we might die to those sins and live righteously. “By his wounds you have been healed.”
