²⁷ You’ll entreat him and he’ll listen to you as you fulfill your vows.

²⁶ Let him pray to God and he will accept him; he will appear before him with joyful shouts!”

²⁸ As a result, the cries of the poor have reached him and he has heard the cry of the afflicted.

¹⁴ Offer to God a thanksgiving praise; pay your vows to the Most High. ¹⁵ Call on me in the day of distress; I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.”

¹² God, I have taken vows before you; therefore I will offer thanksgiving sacrifices to you.

¹³ I will come to your house with burnt offerings. I will fulfill my vows to you ¹⁴ that my lips uttered and that my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.

¹⁷ I called aloud to him and praised him with my tongue. ¹⁸ Were I to cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not listen to me. ¹⁹ Surely God has heard, and he paid attention to my prayers. ²⁰ Blessed be God, who did not turn away my prayers nor his gracious love from me.

¹⁵ When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in his distress. I will deliver him, and I will honor him.

¹ God, My Deliverer I love the LORD because he has heard my prayer for mercy;

¹⁴ I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.

⁴ Keep Your Promises to GodWhen you make a promise to God, don’t fail to keep it, since he isn’t pleased with fools. Keep what you promise—

⁹ Then you’ll call, and the LORD will answer; you’ll cry for help, and he’ll respond, ‘Here I am.’ “If you do away with the yoke among you, and pointing fingers and malicious talk;

⁹ But as for me, with a voice of thanksgiving I will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Deliverance is the LORD’s!”

¹⁴ And this is the confidence that we have in him: if we ask for anything according to his will, he listens to us. ¹⁵ And if we know that he listens to our requests, we can be sure that we have what we ask him for.
