³³ But when they had prepared a meal and set it in front of him, he said, “I’m not eating until I’ve spoken.”
“Speak up!” Laban exclaimed.

¹² I haven’t wandered away from the commands that he has spoken; I’ve treasured what he has said more than my own meals.”

³ “I will not enter my house, or lie down on my bed, ⁴ or let myself go to sleep or even take a nap, ⁵ until I locate a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

²⁹ Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will work for kings, not unimportant people.

¹⁰ Whatever the activity in which you engage, do it with all your ability, because there is no work, no planning, no learning, and no wisdom in the next world where you’re going.

¹⁴ But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never become thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become a well of water for him, springing up to eternal life.”

³¹ Meanwhile, the disciples were urging him, “Rabbi, have something to eat.”
³² But he told them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”

³⁴ Jesus told them, “My food is doing the will of the one who sent me and completing his work.

⁵ Advice for Slaves and MastersSlaves, obey your earthly masters with fear, trembling, and sincerity, as when you obey the Messiah. ⁶ Do not do this only while you’re being watched in order to please them, but be like slaves of the Messiah, who are determined to obey God’s will. ⁷ Serve willingly, as if you were serving the Lord and not merely people, ⁸ because you know that everyone will receive a reward from the Lord for whatever good he has done, whether he is a slave or free.

² Moreover, those who have believing masters should be respectful to them, because they are fellow believers. In fact, they must serve them even better, because those who benefit from their service are believers and dear to them. These are the things you must teach and exhort.
