⁵ As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

¹⁶ the people who sat in darkness saw a great light; and on those who sat in the region and shadow of death, even on them hath the light arisen."

Walk while ye have the light, lest the darkness overtake you: he that walketh in darkness, knoweth not even whither he is going. ³⁶ While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of the light. These things spake Jesus, and going away, concealed himself from them.

⁴⁶ I am come a light into the world, that every one who believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

⁴⁷ For so hath the Lord enjoined us, "I have set thee for a light of the Gentiles, that thou mightest be for salvation unto the extremity of the earth."
