³⁰ and having first brought them out, said, Sirs! what must I do to be saved?

⁸ Produce then worthy fruits of repentance:

⁷ Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.

¹⁰ And the multitudes asked him, saying, What then shall we do?

²⁷ Labour not for the meat which is perishable, but for that meat which endureth unto life eternal, which the Son of man will give you: for him hath the Father sealed, even God. ²⁸ Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we may work the works of God? ²⁹ Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye should believe on him whom he hath sent.

³⁷ Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

⁶ And trembling and amazed he said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

¹⁵ and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We too are mortals subject to the same infirmities with you; preaching to you the gospel, that ye should turn from these vain things unto the living God, who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things which are therein:
