⁵⁴ It was the Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was just beginning.

⁶² On the next day, that is, the day after the Preparation Day, the high priests and Pharisees went in a body to Pilate

⁴² Although it was now evening, yet since it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,

¹⁴ It was the day of Preparation for the Passover, and it was about noon. And Pilate said to the Jews, "There is your king!"
