³ But on his journey, as he was approaching Damascus, a sudden light flashed around him from heaven,

¹⁷ Ananias set out and went to the house, and there he laid his hands upon Saul, and said to him, "Saul, my brother, I have been sent by the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your journey, so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the holy Spirit."

⁶ But on my way, as I was approaching Damascus, suddenly about noon, a blaze of light flashed around me from heaven,

¹² I was once going to Damascus on this business, authorized and commissioned by the high priests, ¹³ when on the road at noon, your Majesty, I saw a light from heaven brighter than the sun flash around me and my fellow-travelers.

⁸ and finally he was seen by me also, as though I were born at the wrong time.

¹⁶ who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

²³ The city does not need the sun nor the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God lighted it, and the Lamb is its lamp.

⁵ There will no longer be any night and they will have no need of lamplight or sunlight, for the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever.
