³ knowing this first, that at the last days mockers will come forth in scoffing, walking according to their own lusts,

² but we lay aside the hidden things of disgrace, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but in the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men, before God.

¹ But the Spirit says positively, that in the last times certain ones will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and to the teachings of demons, ² speaking lies in hypocrisy, having been cauterized as to their own conscience,
