⁴ And my speech and my preaching were not in the persuasive words of wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and the power:

⁴ for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty to God unto the pulling down of strongholds; ⁵ casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

⁵ because our gospel came not unto you in word only, but in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as you know what sort we were among you for your sakes.
