⁶ Therefore in those dayes shall men seeke death, and shall not finde it, and shall desire to die, and death shall flie from them.

⁹ Then saide hee vnto me, I pray thee come vpon mee, and slay me: for anguish is come vpon me, because my life is yet whole in me.

²⁰ Wherefore is the light giuen to him that is in miserie? and life vnto them that haue heauie hearts? ²¹ Which long for death, and if it come not, they would euen search it more then treasures: ²² Which ioy for gladnes, and reioyce, when they can finde the graue.

¹⁵ Therefore my soule chuseth rather to be strangled and to die, then to be in my bones. ¹⁶ I abhorre it, I shall not liue alway: spare me then, for my dayes are but vanitie.

¹⁹ Then they shall goe into the holes of the rockes, and into the caues of the earth, from before the feare of the Lord, and from the glory of his maiestie, when he shall arise to destroy the earth.

³ And death shall bee desired rather then life of all the residue that remaineth of this wicked familie, which remaine in all the places where I haue scattered them, sayeth the Lord of hostes.

⁸ The hie places also of Auen shall be destroied, euen the sinne of Israel: the thorne and the thistle shall growe vpon their altars, and they shall say to the mountaines, Couer vs, and to the hils, Fall vpon vs.

³⁰ Then shall they begin to say to the mountaines, Fall on vs: and to the hilles, Couer vs.

⁸ For his disciples were gone away into the citie, to buy meate. ⁹ Then sayde the woman of Samaria vnto him, Howe is it, that thou being a Iewe, askest drinke of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Iewes meddle not with the Samaritans.

¹⁶ And said to the mountaines and rocks, Fal on vs, and hide vs from the presence of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lambe.
