² O my soule, thou hast sayd vnto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my weldoing extendeth not to thee,

² May a man be profitable vnto God, as he that is wise, may be profitable to himselfe? ³ Is it any thing vnto the Almightie, that thou art righteous? or is it profitable to him, that thou makest thy wayes vpright?

⁷ If thou be righteous, what giuest thou vnto him? or what receiueth he at thine hand? ⁸ Thy wickednesse may hurt a man as thou art: and thy righteousnes may profite ye sonne of man.

² I will say vnto the Lord, O mine hope, and my fortresse: he is my God, in him will I trust.

¹³ O Lord our God, other lords beside thee, haue ruled vs, but we will remember thee onely, and thy Name.

⁵ One shall say, I am the Lordes: another shalbe called by the name of Iaakob: and another shall subscribe with his hand vnto the Lord, and name himselfe by the name of Israel.
