¹⁹ And he said vnto them, What things? And they sayd vnto him, Of Iesus of Nazareth, which was a Prophet, mightie in deede and in word before God, and all people,

¹¹ And the people said, This is Iesus that Prophet of Nazareth in Galile.

²⁴ Saying, Ah, what haue we to do with thee, O Iesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy vs? I knowe thee what thou art, euen that holy one of God.

¹⁶ Then there came a feare on them all, and they glorified God, saying, A great Prophet is risen among vs, and God hath visited his people.

² This man came to Iesus by night, and sayd vnto him, Rabbi, we knowe ye thou art a teacher come from God: for no man could do these miracles that thou doest, except God were with him.

¹⁹ The woman saide vnto him, Sir, I see that thou art a Prophet.

¹⁴ Then the men, when they had seene the miracle that Iesus did, saide, This is of a trueth that Prophet that should come into the world.

⁴⁰ So many of the people, when they heard this saying, said, Of a trueth this is that Prophet. ⁴¹ Other saide, This is that Christ: and some said, But shall that Christ come out of Galile? ⁴² Saith not the Scripture that that Christ shall come of the seede of Dauid, and out of the towne of Beth-leem, where Dauid was?

⁵² They answered, and said vnto him, Art thou also of Galile? Searche and looke: for out of Galile ariseth no Prophet.

²² Yee men of Israel, heare these woordes, JESUS of Nazareth, a man approued of God among you with great workes, and wonders, and signes, which God did by him in the middes of you, as yee your selues also knowe:

²² And Moses was learned in all the wisdome of the Egyptians, and was mightie in wordes and in deedes.

³⁸ To wit, howe God anointed Iesus of Nazareth with the holy Ghost, and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the deuill: for God was with him.
