¹⁹ Beholde, I giue vnto you power to treade on Serpents, and Scorpions, and ouer all the power of the enemie, and nothing shall hurt you.

¹³ Thou shalt walke vpon the lyon and aspe: the yong lyon and the dragon shalt thou treade vnder feete.

⁸ And the sucking childe shall play vpon the hole of the aspe, and the wained childe shall put his hand vpon the cockatrice hole.

⁶ And thou sonne of man, feare them not, neither be afraide of their wordes, although rebels, and thornes be with thee, and thou remainest with scorpions: feare not their wordes, nor be afrayde at their lookes, for they are a rebellious house.

¹⁸ And shall take away serpents, and if they shall drinke any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay their handes on the sicke, and they shall recouer.

³¹ What shall we then say to these thinges? If God be on our side, who can be against vs? ³² Who spared not his owne Sonne, but gaue him for vs all to death, how shall he not with him giue vs all things also? ³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods chosen? it is God that iustifieth, ³⁴ Who shall condemne? it is Christ which is dead, yea, or rather, which is risen againe, who is also at the right hand of God, and maketh request also for vs. ³⁵ Who shall separate vs from the loue of Christ? shall tribulation or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakednesse, or perill, or sworde? ³⁶ As it is written, For thy sake are we killed all day long: we are counted as sheepe for the slaughter. ³⁷ Neuerthelesse, in all these thinges we are more then coquerours through him that loued vs. ³⁸ For I am perswaded that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shalbe able to separate vs from the loue of God, which is in Christ Iesus our Lord.

²⁰ The God of peace shall treade Satan vnder your feete shortly. The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you.

⁵ Let your conuersation be without couetousnesse, and be content with those things that ye haue, for he hath said, ⁶ I will not faile thee, neither forsake thee:

⁵ And if any man wil hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouthes, and deuoureth their enemies: for if any man would hurt the, thus must he be killed.
